Prayers for Marysville

Hey y'all well as you all know by now I am over at college so I do not get the first hand news like y'all do, however, thanks to Facebook I heard about the shooting that went down in Marysville Pilchuck. It is very saddening to think that this world has become a place where people feel the need to try and take the lives of others. I know from reading all of the Facebook posts that many people are outraged about what happened; but many of these enraged people find the need to place blame on more than just the shooter, everything from the shooter's parents and the rest of the people that lived in the area of the shooter. I do not want to jump to conclusions but from the intel that I received the shooter was a Native American (this fact is not confirmed so do not assume anything) based on this people found the need to place blame on the other Native Americans. Now while I do not have much experience interacting with the Natives and I do not know what they are all like, it is wrong in general to group an entire race behind one wrong action. It seems to me like this happens more than we would like to admit, a person from a minority commits a crime and all of a sudden their "race" is deemed violent and a force to be put down. But if a white person commits a crime the whole "white" "race" is not blamed, just that person. Just because a Native commits a crime that does not make all Native Americans "untrustworthy," or "dangerous." And on the matter of the shooters suicide and the parents "failing" at their job as a parent. Let us get one thing straight, if someone commits suicide that does not automatically make their parents "bad parents." True sometimes they can commit suicide because of abuse and that is different but sometimes it is all due to the mental state of the person committing the act. So please if you do not know what the situation is with them do not blame the parents, they already have enough to deal with and do not need the flack of people that do not know what they are talking about.
But enough of my ranting let me get to the real point of this post. I just want to let everyone effected by the shooting to know that I am praying for all of y'all. Now I know that lots of people do not believe in praying and that is OK too but please keep them in your thoughts at least. I pray that everyone that is hurt receives healing and that the families and friends of those effected receive comfort and support. Know that we are all here for you guys! Please if any of my readers know anyone that is effected by the shooting please leave me a comment and I will pray for them personally. And just so everyone knows my family and so far all of my friends are OK! Little shaken up but OK.

Today was another day of just driving goodness. There were no side stops planned since we were trying to get to where we were staying for the night so the Rameys could spend some time with their relatives. So mostly we drove….. Jared and I watched a lot of Game of Thrones (we are currently in the middle of season five) and made pit stops every once in a while. The main highlight of the trip was that we crossed the Missouri River. That was pretty neat, there was a rest stop on the other side of the river that had a small Lewis and Clarke museum and an overlook where you could go and see the bridges across the river. Ramey Road Trip Day 24-25: The Long Trip Home

Good morning everyone! Here is another two-for-one special! Remember the flat tire incident from the other day? Well yesterday we had to go get it taken care of. Mama Ramey woke Jared and I up so that we could move and they could drive to the local Les Schwab to get it fixed up. While the mechanics were working on the car all of the kids slept and the parents went to Denny's to get some breakfast. With breakfast consumed and tires fixed, we set back out on the road. The whole day was pretty much spent driving with very few pit stops. Though we did stop at a bridge where Evil Kenevil did one of his stunts and watched some people base jump. Then we just drove until we got to our campground which was in Oregon this time. Once we got there Jared, CC, and I went swimming for a bit before we all got out to go and eat dinner. Ramey Road Trip Day 21: Desert Days

Today started very early for some reason. Mama Ramey wanted to get up and go right away so she got us up out of our bed and had us move to the big bed so that they could start driving. We didn't officially wake up until like 9:30.  So we pretty much drove a lot today. We had two scheduled stops but that was it. The first was to Four Corners. For those who don't know, Four Corners is basically a place where you can stand in four states at once: Arizona, Colorado, Utah, and New Mexico. So we stopped for a bit and took our pictures, there were also a bunch of vendors set up around the patio area selling different wares so we looked around for a bit. Then we headed back to the RV so we could eat lunch, everybody except Austin and I had Indian tacos which are tacos on top of fry bread.
