Halloween 2014 Costume and Backstory

Neville           The year started off just like every other year at Hogwarts, with the grand feast after all of the first years got sorted into their houses. Of course, since I was in my third year and already in Gryffindor house I was more interested in catching up with Harry, Ron, and Hermione. We all swapped stories of how our breaks were, Ron went with his family to Diagon Alley, Hermione reread all of her spell books (probably for the fifth time), and Harry? Well who knows what he does at home, he never talks about it. Then there’s me, I spent my break helping my grandmother (oh the joy). At a break in the conversation I took a quick glance around the room and at first didn’t notice anything in particular, but then out of the corner of my eye I caught a glimpse of the most beautiful witch I have ever seen. So I quick turned back to the others, “guys,” I asked excitedly, “who is that over there” as I casually pointed towards her. ...

Well I went to my first official fashion show and I loved it! This show consisted of fashion and some "acts" from around the world (by acts I mean like dances and  stuff). The whole show was amazing except that I wish that I had a way better camera because the one that I have now is not very good and so I had to settle with my iPod (so bare with the pictures). (Getting ready for the show) (Latin dancers representing Mexico) (Latin youth with modern Latin dancing) (European Models) (For you Jared Ramey a guy in a kilt) (Modern UK) (Peruvian dance crew) (African models) (Kenya) (Somalia) (Asia models) (Philippines traditional) (Modern Philippines) (Japanese) (Egypt) (Saudi Arabia) (Belly dancers representing Egypt)

Halloween 2014

There is always a first for everything and the Halloween of 2014 brought with it two different "firsts" for me. The first "first" was that I got to have two Halloweens: one back home with my friends and one at college with my other friends, the second was that it was the first time that I was able to do something else for Halloween besides helping with the church carnival. My first Halloween was on the 25th of October and took place at the home of the Ramey family. Let me just say that these guys go all out for Halloween; their lawn was filled with gravestones, spiders, and an 18ft Grim Reaper, they also had plenty of terrifying treats for all of their guests, and let's not forget the haunted house that they put on every year (open to the public on Halloween night). It was so much fun to see lots of my friends from school again, I missed them all terribly especially the rap scallions Jesse Rutgers and Nathan Parkhurst. Oh and of course I invited my best friend ...

Lazy K's

For all of my readers that enjoy going out and finding hole-in-the-wall restaurants here is a rating for you. Lazy K's is located in Carnation, Washington (about central Washington) it's a tiny little restaurant that at first glance looks like it is only a tavern, but don't be fooled, there is a bar side and a restaurant side so it's still kid friendly. These guys specialize in pizza and pasta but there are other options like salads and sandwiches. My grandparents and I swung through here on my way home, so if ever you are heading East or even back West stop by Lazy K's. ~atmosphere **** (This was a very fun restaurant. The walls were adorned with old fashioned tavern decorations, everything from cowboy memorabilia to show girl legs and feather boas. There is even a distraction for the kids in the form of the brown paper tablecloth (that way the parents can watch whatever sports game is on on the tavern tvs). ~food ***** (Very yummy food that proves that hole-...
