Busy Day
I know this is really late, but I still wanted to write about it because it was an awesome day. The sun rose on Thursday November 20th like any other Thursday but today was going to be different. My classes went on without a hitch, I was super excited during my anthropology class because right after that my friend Kayla picked me up and we were off to the Ellensburg Animal Shelter. For those who are out of the loop Kayla and I applied to be volunteers at the Animal Shelter and so we were going in for our official job shadow; that way we would know all of the fun things that we get to do when we go in each week. Our "boss" was a nice older gentleman named Tj who volunteered at the shelter with his wife and knew like everything about volunteering; he taught us how to clean up and feed the dogs and cats, where everything was located, and how to properly handle the animals when we were socializing with them.
