Catching Up pt. 2

Sooo we meet again faithful readers! This time for Catching Up pt. 2, which is going to be different than pt. 1, seeing as it is pt. 2......obviously......OK let me just get to the point. When I last left you I was talking about my weekend at Spring Camp Out, so this time I will talk to you about the last couple of days. Starting with.......

May 1, 2015:
Today was actually pretty boring for the most part. That is until the sun went down, cause everything gets hotter when the sun goes down (mwahaha). But really, I just went to a late night Central activity. This time the Student Activities board put on a comedy night featuring two different comedians, a lip sync battle, and rock and roll BINGO. The comedians were pretty funny, if not a little crude for my taste; their names were Travis Nelson (Northwest Comedy Competition Finalist) and Adam Norwest (CMT's Next Big Comic of 2012). Once the comedians finished their acts we headed downstairs for free pizza and more fun stuff. First up was the lip sync battle hosted by 88.1 The 'Burg, duos could sign up for a song and then compete against other teams. The team I was on didn't make it past the first round but we had fun.

This was a very exciting Saturday actually, very much unlike my usual Saturday which consists of sleeping in and doing nothing. Because to my excitement it was Free Comic Book Day at Central City Comics! Now for those of you who are not comic book connoisseurs (you can leave)(just kidding)(or am I???), Free Comic Book Day is an apparently national day where comic book stores can open their doors and hand out free and discounted comic books to the public (warning: this is to the store's discretion, not every comic book store participates, which is sad). I picked up four of the free comics (Captain Canuck, Lady Justice, Dr. Who,, and Dark Circle), and 10 of the dollar comics (six Green Arrow, two Gotham City Sirens, and two X-Men) (thanks Auntie Jazmyne for loaning me some money so I could get more comics!). After making my selection I headed out into town where the farmers market was going on, I took a look around and then headed back to my room so that I could get ready for the opera that night. It was such a gorgeous day that I even got to go outside and read one of my books (The Circle Series (the review will be done once I finish the series)) (I even got to finish the second book!). Then I got all dressed up and headed to the music building to see Le Nozze de Figaro (The Marriage of Firgaro), it was my first time going to an opera and several of my friends from XA were in the show so I had a blast. It was so funny and I highly recommend it to anyone who loves opera or just musical theatre in general. Once the curtains closed (metaphorically there weren't actually any curtains) I drove home with some of my friends and spent the rest of the night watching movies and playing Minecraft (yes I know I am a nerd).

May 3, 2015:
Well this Sunday was really boring actually. I woke up to go to church but I was unable to get a ride over there so I just stayed home. I spent most of the day watching random TV shows and doing lots of homework. By the end of the day I was ready to sleep and recharge my batteries for my class in the morning.

May 4, 2015:
Woohoo! I got a visit today! This visit and subsequent dinner was provided by my grandparents who were camping in the area for the weekend. But first classes..... I had my communications class, my french class, and that was it because my theatre class was canceled. I was however, supposed to meet up with my theatre midterm group to practice for our mime assignment, except everybody was too busy to meet up so I went back home to play more Minecraft. My grandma texted me and told me that they were in the area, so they picked me up and we headed out to dinner. I wanted to go to Sugar Thai (one of the restaurants downtown) but it was closed (which was weird because Google said that they were open), so instead we went to a Mexican place called Fiesta En Jalisco (review will be posted) which was super yummy (that was my Cinco de Mayo). My grandparents also brought me cheese (which was a little odd to get a random wedge of cheese) from a winery in Chelan. Then they dropped me off and I headed back home for the night.

That was my whole exciting weekend, now everyone knows what I have been doing. And make sure to stay tuned for any further catching up posts about my life here at CWoo.
